The Professional Network Behind Municipal Events
The Municipal Special Events Association (MSEA) is a national nonprofit advancing the professionals who deliver public events and entertainment districts, from concept through permitting, approval, and execution, while maintaining public safety and accountability across the experience economy.
The MSEA flagship program, the Municipal Special Events Summit, is hosted annually through a competitive bid process with partner cities.

Across Every Role
Public events don’t live within a single department. The MSEA connects the full network of professionals responsible for planning, operations, safety, and leadership.
Planning & Permitting
Event planners, permitters, organizers, special event offices, film offices, nighttime economy managers, parks and recreation, community engagement, and mayoral or administrative offices.
Public Safety & Operations
Police, fire, EMS, emergency management, code compliance, security, transportation, public works, and communications.
Leadership & Industry
City managers, elected officials, destination organizations, business and hospitality groups, entertainment districts, nonprofits, and supporting agencies.
